Why Get 8(a) Certified with FGA?
The 8(a) Business Development Program was designed to assist small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Through this certification, your business can gain access to significant opportunities that foster growth and expand your footprint in the federal marketplace.
Compete for Exclusive Federal Contracts
Each year, the federal government awards billions in contracts specifically set aside for 8(a) certified businesses. With this certification, your business can compete for these set-aside and sole-source contracts, dramatically reducing competition.
Long-Term Growth & Opportunities
The 8(a) certification lasts up to 9 years, giving your business ample time to secure federal contracts and achieve significant revenue, with the potential to earn up to $100 million or five times your SBA size limit.
Subcontracting & Joint Ventures
Gain access to subcontracting opportunities and form joint ventures with established businesses through the SBA’s Mentor-Protégé Program.
